Visiting Ensemble At Anglia Ruskin University

Symphonia Academica are pleased to announce that the ensemble has been invited to be the Visiting Ensemble at Anglia Ruskin University.

The ensemble is looking forward to a period of exciting performances and workshops in conjunction with this adventurous and progressive university, which has campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough and London.

Following a highly successful residency at the University of Bedfordshire, commented Peter Bussereau, Symphonia Academica's Principle Director, the ensemble is very much looking forward to building a close relationship with Anglia Ruskin University's community of students and staff.

The new partnership was announced by Paul Jackson, Director of Music and Performance at Anglia Ruskin University: For the academic year 2017-18 Symphonia Academica are delighted to be appointed as Associate Ensemble for Anglia Ruskin University. The partnership involves working alongside students and staff from the university's Department of Music and Performing Arts towards a number of concerts throughout the year.

Following their inaugural concert at the Chelmsford Campus in June, and two further concerts in December with the university orchestra and chorus, Symphonia members will also be working with student composers in the preparation and performance of original compositions in May 2018 as part of the university's Lunchtime Concert Series.
